3 arrested after Mankato shooting

MANKATO — Authorities have released the three people who were arrested after a fatal shooting at a Mankato nightclub over the weekend.
Blue Earth County’s chief prosecutor said Monday that he’s not sure when his office will file charges in the case. Authorities have 48 hours in which to file charges following an arrest.
Staff at the Blue Earth County Jail confirmed Dilang Nhial Dat, 20, and Kim Tong Yik Doluony, both of Omaha, Neb., were released Monday afternoon. A Mankato woman, Nyeyoup David Gach, 18, also has been released.
Four people were shot, one fatally, outside the Kato Ballroom early Sunday following an event for a Sudanese student group from Minnesota State University.
Investigators are still trying to determine what transpired.
Police arrested Dolouony for allegedly carrying a gun without a permit.
Detective Deb McDermottsaid she would release more information today if a medical examiner is able to positively identify the man who died from gunshot wounds, according to the Mankato Free Press.
