Free program offered for eating with diabetes

A free program, “The A-Z Basics of Eating with Diabetes,” is scheduled from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the foundation board room in the lower level of Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea, 404 W. Fountain St.
According to a press release, the program will benefit those newly diagnosed with diabetes and are beginning diabetes education. Participants will learn how to count carbs to self-manage diabetes and how to create balanced, healthy meals to live a healthy life with diabetes.
Caitlyn Terpstra, registered dietitian at Mayo Clinic Health System, will share the basics to eating healthy with diabetes.
