I drive through this area nearly every day and it is a very dangerous location. With all the semi traffic it's hard for anyone to see (which is probably not the case in this situation)....but what will it take before the DOT installs proper traffic signals? I wonder if any studies on safety have ever been conducted as to this site. Glad everyone was ok.

I also drive 46 every day and have had a major accident there! They need to start patroling it more and start ticketing the semis and others that don't stop at the stop signs, it's very dangerous!

Look how long the truck stop was at the old location and how many accidents happened there. They never did put up signal lights, I don't know how many times someone has to be injured or die before some sort of signage is put up.

Our residence is just off of 46 north of the truck stops, we have talked to police officers about the traffic and lack of traffic signs, he informed us that there are far less accidents than people think, and it is a relatively safe road. Well we drive it every day to and from work, and I have counted numerous cars which run the stop sign coming off the southbound exit, not to mention the truckers who just pull out in front of cars. Not only do we have to slam our brakes on we then proceed to drive at snails pace and almost get rear ended by traffic behind us who fail to realize this big truck is stopping traffic. He is much larger than you after all. He knows you will stop! This makes me very angry!
