Here are highlights in history for Nov. 4, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:

1985 — An ad in the Tribune said JC Penney in the Skyline Mall would be holding a nine-hour sale. The time for this sale was listed as being from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Nov. 6.

1975 — The fall play at Alden-Conger High School would be “Golden River,” a musical with a western cowboy theme.

1965 — Safe harvest symbols was the 1965 Future Farmers of America key project for the Albert Lea chapter.
