Viking volleyball falls in four to St. Ansgar

The Northwood-Kensett volleyball team couldn’t get things going on Tuesday night as they fell to St. Ansgar in four games 23-25, 25-20, 25-10, 25-11.

The Vikings were led by Kate Hartman, who recorded 17 kills and tallied two aces, and went 39-for-40 hitting.

Britney Low recorded eight kills for Northwood-Kensett, while going 22 of 27 for hitting.

Alex Nicholson led the Vikings with 10 assists, followed by Kjirsti Davidson, who recorded eight assists.

St. Ansgar was led by Sadie Oakland, who recorded 18 digs, went 13 of 13 at the serving line and dished out five aces. Sam Edington also helped the Saints cause, going 16 of 16 in serves and she tallied 30 assists.

The Vikings will be back in action next Thursday when they travel to Riceville.
