Glenville-Emmons volleyball goes down in three sets

Published Friday, October 2, 2009

The Glenville-Emmons volleyball team wasn’t able to close out a set against Lanesboro Thursday in Lanesboro in a 3-0 loss.

The Wolverines (5-10, 2-5 SEC) had opportunities in the first two sets, but errors at crucial times hurt them in a 25-22, 25-21, 25-15 loss.

Glenville-Emmons led 20-15 in the second set, but missed three consecutive serves.

“We should have won at least one or two tonight,” said Wolverines head coach Lisa Ziebell. “We had some really long volleys, the difference was we had more errors.”

Kalli VanRyswyk led Glenville-Emmons with nine kills and Emily Belshan eight.

Kailey Davis had 20 digs and Alayna Hall 16 while April had 13 assists.
