April Balsley graduates from William Jewell

April Elisabeth Balsley of Albert Lea graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in self-designed and applied critical thought and inquiry from William Jewell College in Liberty, Mo., in May.

Balsley was also named to the spring 2010 semester dean’s list at William Jewell.

Area students named to Luther College dean’s list

Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, has released its dean’s list for the spring 2010 semester. To be included, a student must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or better.

Kyra Danneker named to Hamline dean’s list

Kyra Danneker, formerly of Albert Lea, was named to the dean’s list at Hamline University in St. Paul for the spring 2010 semester. To be included, a student must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or better.

Danneker, who is majoring in flexible curriculum, is a graduate of Albert Lea High School and is the daughter of Dale and Milena Danneker of Hollidaysburg, Pa.

Jonathan Soli named to Hamline dean’s list

Jonathan Soli of Albert Lea was named to the dean’s list at Hamline University in St. Paul for the spring 2010 semester. To be included, a student must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or better.

Soli is a graduate of Alden-Conger High School and is the son of Peter and Sandra Soli of Albert Lea.

Natalie Lamphier named to Hamline dean’s list

Natalie Lamphier, of Albert Lea was named to the dean’s list at Hamline University in St. Paul for the spring 2010 semester. To be included, a student must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or better.

Lamphier, who is majoring in legal studies, is a graduate of Albert Lea High School and is the daughter of Jon and Jacelyn Lamphier of Albert Lea.
