Glenville-Emmons graduates receive foundation scholarships

The Glenville-Emmons School and Community Foundation announces its 2009 scholarship winners. From left, Randene Davis, Nick Golbuff, Danielle Cooper and Jessica Nelson will each receive a $500 scholarship for the 2009-10 school year. These scholarships were made possible by fundraisers run by the foundation board and by memorials received this year in memory of Leigh Freidrichsen, Sharon Jerdee, Almon Sather, Mae Thofson, Sharon Berg, Bob Larson, Luella Mittag, Kirkwood Adams, JoAnn Olson Vogel, Ruth Smith, Luverne Wolff and Palmer Granholt. Also, on graduation night, the Bruce Mittag Memorial Scholarship, funded by his family, was awarded to Randene Davis. The Kelly Maher Memorial Scholarship, made possible through a permanently endowed, charitable fund at the Lutheran Community Foundation established by Bonnie and Pat Maher, was awarded to Danielle Cooper. The Helen Seline Scholarship, funded by Karleen Kos, was awarded to Jennifer Polinder.
