Ben Back, 17, and Kristy Swanson, 17, rinse the soap off a car Saturday behind Hy-Vee in Albert Lea during a fundraising car wash. The money raised will help send Back and Swanson, from Crossroads Evangelical Free Church, on a 10-week mission trip to Israel and Europe this summer. Karen Leonard, another member of the congregation, will be going to Ecuador for three weeks for mission work; she will also be getting a portion of the proceeds. The fundraiser drew in almost $700.
