Flu season is officially here, with a confirmed case in Minnesota. That means you’re running out of time to get a flu vaccination if you want to protect yourself against the virus.

Especially for the young, old and vulnerable – but also for the rest – a flu shot can be an effective barrier against the affliction, which can be deadly at worst or quite inconvenient at best.

The flu vaccine takes a couple of weeks before it reaches its full effectiveness, so putting it off any longer is risking coming down with the flu.

There is no reason to take a chance anymore. As we enter flu season, a wise choice is getting the vaccination.
