Claudy Guckenburg, 60, Albert Lea

The funeral service for Claudy Guckenburg will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 24, at Ascension Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. Philip Peters and Marilyn Peters, associate in ministry, will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, and one hour before the service at the church.
Claudy died on Wednesday, June 19, 2002, at Albert Lea Medical Center. She was 60 years old.
Claudy was born in Ishpeming, Mich., on May 26, 1942, the daughter of Lawrence and Eva Paulson. She attended Ishpeming High School and graduated from Albert Lea High School. She received nursing assistant training from Albert Lea Technical College.
Claudy was married to Dale Peterson in 1961 and Charles Guckenburg in 1986. They both preceded her in death.
Claudy worked as a nurses aid at Naeve Hospital for 18 years. She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church and a member of the Eagles Club. Claudy made friends everywhere she went and cherished time spent with her family and friends. She was loved by many.
Claudy is survived by her children; Karen and Robert Anderson and Kurt and Cindy Peterson; five grandchildren: Amanda and Marcus Peterson, and Krystal, Danny and Dustin Anderson, all of Albert Lea; niece, Debra Santti Wiley of Austin; and many other nieces, nephews and devoted friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Guckenburg; former husband, Dale Peterson; two brothers: Jack and Ed Paulson; and one sister, Elizabeth Santti.
