Hayward’s day

Stacia Roberts is turned into a kitten by Riverland Community

College art teacher Deb Rhiner Schnell at Hayward Days Saturday.

In addition to free face painting, there were bubbles, sidewalk

chalk art and other activities for the kids. The festival also

featured city-wide garage sales, a street dance Saturday, a polka

band and an auction fund-raiser for the Blazing Star Trail.
