Funeral services for Rose E. Boone, age 94, of Albert Lea, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Michael Gerhardt will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation is from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home.

Rose died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, at the Albert Lea Good Samaritan Center.

Rose Elizabeth Boone was born July 25, 1908, to Julius and Ernestine (Schultz) Zastrow in South Dakota. She grew up in South Dakota and attended schools in Huron. On Sept. 14, 1933, Rose was united in marriage to Frank Boone in Huron. She was a farm wife and homemaker.

Survivors include her son, Eldon Boone and his wife Faye of Minneapolis.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank; and two brothers and four sisters.
