Driver pleads guilty in DQ robbery case

Jason Richard Farris, 18, who was charged in connection with a robbery at Dairy Queen on Bridge Ave., plead guilty of the first degree aiding and abetting aggravated robbery Friday.

According to the complaint, Farris drove Sean Ernest Stenzel, 18, to the fast food shop. Stenzel stole around $1,000 in cash, threatening two employees at work and tying them up with a duct tape.

In court Farris admitted that he kept the gun and some of the money from the crime at his home in Albert Lea.

Farris will be sentenced January 13 after the pre-sentencing investigation by the Department of Corrections. Stenzel has already received a sentence of 48 months in prison.
