&uot;Celebration of Life&uot; service will be held for Juanita Kaye Roberts, age 47, of Elk River, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, at Roslyn Park Wesleyan Church, Fridley. The Rev. Dale Christiansen will officiate. There will be no visitation.
Nita passed peacefully into eternal rest at her home on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002 after a long battle with brain cancer.
Nita was born on April 15, 1955, in Marianna, Fla., the daughter of Earl and Hilda (Rogers) Harrington. She is a former resident of Albert Lea. On Dec. 26, 1998, Nita was united in marriage to Darrell Roberts in Minneapolis.
Nita was a loving and devoted wife, mom, nana, daughter, sister, and friend to many. She was a member of Roslyn Park Wesleyan Church and was exrployed by VSI Construction as the office manager for five years.
Survivors include her husband, Darrell; children: Melinda (Steve) Miller, Donald (Stacy) Fernelius, and Caroline Fernelius; stepchildren: Dean (Lisa) Roberts, Marion (Chris) Dalbec, and Verna (Pat) Kruse; grandchildren: Nathan and Johnny Miller, Jon, Katie and James Roberts, and Nathaniel and Emily Dalbec; mother, Hilda Harrington; brother, Greg (Maryann) Harrington; sisters: Shirley (Leroy) Osborn, and Carrie LeNette Keller; nephews: Greg (Dana) Osborn, Jason Osborn and Matt Harrington; nieces: Shirley (Ronnie) Caldwell, Michelle (Mike) Kanger, Christina and Amy Keller, and Dawn Osborn; aunts: Pauline Bender and Alberta (Robert) Bauman; uncles: Bill (Pat) Rogers, Joe (Lorraine) Haddy, and David (Margie) Haddy; 11 great-nieces and -nephews; many cousins; and many dear friends.
Nita was preceded in death by her father, Earl Harrington; infant brother, Roger; grandparents: Marian and Gypsy (Metcalf) Rogers, and Joseph and Carrie (Harrington) Haddy; and three aunts and five uncles.
