Funeral services for Andrew Paul Larson, age 19, of Mantorville, were held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Kasson. The Rev. Jerry Platz of the First Congregational Church, Mantorville, officiated. Burial will be in St. Theodore’s Catholic Cemetery, Albert Lea.
Visitation was Wednesday, Jan. 22, from 5-7 p.m. at the Dibble Funeral Home, Kasson, and one hour before services at the church.
He died on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, as a result of an auto accident in Winona County near Whitewater State Park.
Andrew was born on Nov. 21, 1983, in Albert Lea. He attended Kasson-Mantorville schools.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, drawing, leather and metal work, writing poetry and some woodworking. Andrew was a grocery store employee and a member of the First Congregational Church of Mantorville.
He loved life, family and friends, and was devoted to his Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, his Savior.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather: Rita and John Tidemann of Mantorville; father and stepmother: Kenton and Debra Larson of Alden; sisters: Stacy (Jeremy) Riles of Lake Mills, Iowa, and Heather (Eric) Kosmoski of Vista, Calif.; brothers: Elisha Larson of Kasson, and Israel Larson of Kasson; stepbrothers: Jeremy Wynn of Alden, Marc (Amy) Tidemann of Austin, and Chad Tidemann of Austin; stepsisters: Katie Wynn of Albert Lea, and Amy Tidemann of Austin; three nieces: Chastity, Chesska and Nika; seven nephews: Drake, Tanner, Spencer, Brady, Chaden, Justis and Brayden; maternal grandmother, Florence Possehl of Albert Lea; paternal grandparents, Marshall and Melba Larson of Waseca; step grandmother, Millie Andrejewski and her husband Paul of Albert Lea; step uncles: Tim Tidemann of Grand Rapids, Minn., and Jerry Tidemann of Detroit Lakes, Minn.; and step aunt, Mary Erikson of Pontiac, Mich.
He was preceded in death by one sister and his maternal grandfather.
