Gladys A. Rodahl, age 86, of Wells, died

Monday, Dec. 30, 2002, at her home in Wells from complications of kidney failure.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells. The Rev. Paul Baker will officiate. Visitation will be at the Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells today from 4-7 p.m., and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in

She was born July 29, 1916, the daughter of Jesse and Gertrude (Miller) Rasmusson,. She married Carl Leonard Rodahl on Dec. 29, 1938, in Kiester.

Gladys attended rural schools and graduated from the eighth grade. She worked at the canning factory, candled eggs, and helped her husband Carl in the feed mill in Wells. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and enjoyed, baking, sewing, making quilts, gardening, and fishing with her husband. Most important to her was being a homemaker, wife, and mother.

She is survived by two children: Carolee and her husband Ellis Fletcher of Wells, and Carl and his wife Ute Rodahl of Waseca; four grandchildren: Mike (wife Kari) Fletcher of Mankato, Kim Fletcher of Wells, Nancy Rodahl of Waseca, and Dennis Rodahl of St. Cloud; seven great-grandchildren: Kjirsten, Katie, Aaron, Adam, and Ben Fletcher, Meghan Whitaker, and Kristina Rodahl; three sisters: Ethyl Aspenson of Wells, Emma Sears of Webster, Wis., and Marion Kasperek of Blue Earth; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Perry, in 1969; husband, Carl, in 1990; sisters: Alice Bruckhoff and Donna Satre; and one brother, Helmer Rasmusson.
