Lining the sewers

Kerry Lane of Insituform gets a machine ready Tuesday afternoon,

which will insert a tube that will line the current sewer pipes

that cross Broadway Avenue, along East Pearl Street. The lining

will act as a &uot;pipe-within-a-pipe.&uot; The lining is inserted

with water pressure and it creates a seamless pipe. The work is

being done now to ensure that there will be no problems with the

sewer system once the new addition of the Freeborn County Courthouse

is built over East Pearl Street.
