A Glenville-Emmons High School senior with more than 20 productions to her credit is managing the stage for Albert Lea Community Theatre’s &uot;Talley’s Folly.&uot;

Samantha Gordon is a veteran of high school, ACT, Minnesota Festival Theatre and Summerset Theatre productions. &uot;Talley’s Folly&uot; is the third show she’s stage managed.

Serving as stage manager is time consuming, she said. &uot;I write blocking, take notes for the director, cue lines if needed, call times, cues, lights and sound, and start and end the show,&uot; she said.

&uot;It’s a lot of responsibility, and takes a lot of my time, but I love it so much that I make time for it,&uot; she said.

She found &uot;Talley’s Folly&uot; appealing because, &uot;It was an opportunity to do something I like with a good script.&uot;

Gordon hopes to study theatre in Philadelphia after high school.

She works part time at Herberger’s.

Other members of the &uot;Talley’s Folly&uot; crew are Erin Bremseth on lights and Tony Segura on sound. Mike Wangen is doing lighting design. John and Karen Szymanowski are doing props. Director Patrick Rasmussen also designed the set, and Fran Kalis is the builder. Deanne Winegar is the producer, and Betty Loper is managing the box office.
