The funeral service for Margie L. Herem of 915 Maplehill, Albert Lea, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. Rev. John Henriksen will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Bonnerup Funeral Service Albert Lea and one hour before the service at the church.

Margie died Friday, March 28, 2003 at the Albert Lea Medical Center. She was 76 years old.

Margie was born Feb. 7, 1927 to Lars Peter and Mary (Jensen) Sorenson. She married Oscar T. Herem on March 22, 1947 at First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. Margie had lived at Hartland, New Richland and after her marriage they lived in Montana and then moved to Albert Lea in 1949. Margie was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. She had a good sense of humor, enjoyed going for rides and doing craft projects. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren.

Margie is survived by her two children: Ron Herem and his wife Gwen of Eagan, Minn. and Randi and her husband Brian Kelly of Albert Lea; grandchildren: Peter, David and Jacob Herem, Becky and Paul Kelly, step-granddaughter: Kristin Jepson; two step-great-grandchildren: Jacqui and Jayna Jepson; niece: Jeane Jorgenson of Reno, Nev.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Oscar; two brothers: Harry and Kermit Sorenson; sister: Vergie Jorgenson.
