Area residents will have an opportunity to view the wildlife creations of local artist Rory Mattson on Sunday, March 16, at the new Audubon Science Center in Albert Lea.

The session will be held from 2-4 p.m. at the center, located at 1416 W. Main St., which is adjacent to the Albert Lea Seed House. Mattson will share his love of painting and be available to answer any questions on his craft. He specializes in watercolor and now works full time on his art. Before retiring to his art, Mattson worked for the Albert Lea school district for 32 years, teaching grades 5-6 and coaching.

His work has been shown at the Minnesota Heritage Show, the Kansas City &uot;OWL&uot; Show, as well as the National Ducks Unlimited, Kansas City Birds and Art Show and the Tulsa NatureFest.
