The funeral service for Anna S. Horvei of St. John’s Lutheran Home, Albert Lea, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at Salem Lutheran Church, Lake Mills, Iowa. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church, and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Home Chapel. A prayer service will then be held at 10:3O a.m. Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Home Chapel. The Rev. Kevin L. Mackey will officiate. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Lake Mills. Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials preferred to St. John’s Lutheran Home or Salem Lutheran Church, Lake Mills, Iowa, or donor’s choice.

Anna died Saturday, April 12, 2003 at St. John’s Lutheran Home. She was 106 years old.

Anna was born Nov. 29, 1896, in Winnebago County, Iowa, to Olai and Agatha Horvei. She lived most of her life in Lake Mills and then later moved to Albert Lea. She was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church, Lake Mills. Anna worked as a nurse’s aide at Naeve Hospital, Albert Lea. She also did housework and worked for the Coffee Cup restaurant in Lake Mills.

Anna is survived by her nephew, Alton Horvei and special friend Beulah Wiegand of Albert Lea; niece, Dorothy Hill and her husband Vance of Albert Lea; grand-nieces and -nephews: Julie Bock and her family, Megan and Caitlin; Peggy Owens and her husband Dennis and their children, Brett and Derek; Timothy Horvei and children, Levi and Ellen; Larry Hill and his wife Suzanne and children, Lance and his wife Jennifer, Todd and his wife Terri, Jonathan and Samantha; Darwin Hill and his wife Mary and child, Summer; and Renae Woiak and her husband Kent and children, Patrick and Riley; and niece-in-law, Marian Horvei of Illinois.

Anna is preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Arthur and his wife Selma Horvei, Elmer Horvei, Walter Horvei and Carl Horvei; nephew, Donald Horvei; and

niece-in-law, Eileen Horvei.
