An Albert Lea man received a 98-month long prison sentence for drug dealing on Friday.
Dennis Harlan Bluhm, 46, was convicted of the first-degree sale of meth in a jury trial last December.
According to the complaint, Bluhm sold over 10 grams grams of meth to a person cooperating with the Albert Lea Police in December 2001.
The defense asked the court for participation in a treatment program instead of imprisonment, but Judge James Broberg adopted the state sentencing guideline.
Bluhm, who had been out of jail on bail, was put in custody. The defense attorney said she would appeal.
