Barry Allan Tolbers, who was charged with the first-degree assault for a standoff last weekend, was back in custody after a one-day release on bail.
Tolbers, 47, was bailed out Thursday by posting $150,000 bail, but was brought back to the jail Friday for a probation violation for a past DUI conviction.
Tolbers started shooting from his house at 809 Harding Ave. around 7:30 p.m. April 5. During the 11-hour-long standoff, he fired at least 69 bullets and damaged neighboring houses, street lamps and a squad car.
County Attorney Craig Nelson said that the prosecution would seek a psychiatric evaluation on Tolbers to see if he would stand the court procedure.
