A fire at Tow ‘N Travel resulted in $235,000 in damages, but Duane Gregory, the store owner, said the business will stay open.
Firefighters suppressed the blaze after a two-hour-long effort on Sunday night. Two watch dogs in the building were rescued.
The fire started on the first floor which is mostly storage space. According to the fire department, the fire was possibly caused by an electronic problem. Nobody was at the 50-by-80-foot shop and office after 4:30 p.m. Sunday, but investigators have ruled out a possibility of arson.
Gregory told the department the damage would be $175,000 for the building and $60,000 for damaged items.
The employees salvaged a truck in the shop before the fire damaged it. Though the office and attic were totally lost, Gregory said he would continue the business’s services without interruption.
