Hans A. Hanson, 84, Albert Lea

The memorial service for Hans A. Hanson, of 1811 Lakewood Ave., Albert Lea, will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Theodore’s Catholic Church. The Rev. Robert Schneider will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.

Hans died Monday July 7, 2003, at the Good Samaritan Center. He was 84 years old.

Hans was born October 22, 1918, in Bricelyn to Anton and Mary (Lorentson) Hanson. He was a lifetime resident of Albert Lea and graduated from Albert Lea High School. He attended two years of junior college.

Hans married Catherine Klimek on Dec. 9, 1942, in Albert Lea. Hans was a member of St. Theodore’s Catholic Church. He worked in general construction. Hans was in the United States Army Signal Corps from 1942-1945. Hans enjoyed playing golf, fishing and woodworking.

Hans is survived by his wife, Catherine of Albert Lea; sons: Anthony Hanson and his wife Barbara of High Point, N.C., and Michal Hanson and his wife Jane of Albert Lea; and grandchildren: Katie, Jeffrey and Kelli.

Hans was preceded in death by his parents: Hans and Mary; sister, Agnes; and brother, Arnold.
