Iowen M. Passer, age 82, of Wells, died Sunday, July 13, 2003 at Mapleton Community Home in Mapleton.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, at the United Methodist Church in Wells. The Rev. Art Keith will officiate. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m., one hour prior to services, at the church on Wednesday. Interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Wells.

She

was born Nov. 1, 1920, in Clark Township, Faribault County, the daughter of Homer and Margaret (Penny) Passer.

Iowen was a Wells area resident all of her life. She had worked as a housekeeper and babysitter in various homes in Wells. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Wells, the UMW and Circle. She enjoyed playing cards and working puzzles.

She is survived by two sisters: Muriel Zielie of Wells, and Dean Kontzelman of Wells; two brothers: David and his wife Carol Passer of Crystal, Minn., and Glenn Passer of Wells; nine nieces and nephews and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers-in-law: Don Zielie and Marvin Kontzelman; and two nephews: Dick and Ron Zielie.

Arrangements are by Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells.
