A 17-year-old is in custody awaiting charges after allegedly assaulting and robbing three men Tuesday night, Albert Lea Police said.
Police discovered a man staggering down the street near College Avenue and Washington Avenue Tuesday night bleeding at the mouth and missing several teeth, Albert Lea Assistant Police Chief Dwaine Winkels said.
The 20-year-old victim told police that he had been visiting at 405 West College Ave. when three men entered the residence with a gun and a pipe demanding drugs and money, Winkels said.
The three victims gave the suspects what they had and one suspect struck one victim’s head, Winkels said. Victims told police that the 20-year-old then ran after the suspects and was assaulted, Winkels said.
The 20-year-old was treated at a hospital; his condition is unknown.
Police recovered the IDs of the victims from the 17-year-old. Winkels said he expected him to be charged today.
