There will be a Quarterback Club (football boosters) meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Elks Club. Please note the date change. All parents and interested community members are invited.

Boys’ basketball boosters to meet

The Albert Lea Boys’ Basketball Boosters will meet Monday, Aug. 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Elks Club. Parents and supporters of Albert Lea boys’ basketball in grade 4 through varsity are invited to attend.

Youth football registration Tuesday

Registration for fifth and sixth-grade tackle football is Tuesday, Aug. 19 at 7 p.m. in the Brookside gymnasium.

Parents and students should both attend. Cost is $45 for registration fee and jersey.

River City Rugby, a Northern Iowa and, hopefully, Southern Minnesota rugby club, will begin practice for anyone interested in playing rugby this fall.
