Dorothy Rose Neubauer, age 80, of Wells, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, in Blue Earth.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells. The Rev. Eugene Stenzel will officiate. Visitation will be today, Aug. 4, at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells from 4-8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be in St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery, Wells.

She was born June 1, 1923, the daughter of Frank and Caroline (Osdoba) Sonnek in Minnesota Lake, and married Matthew A. Neubauer on Sept. 24, 1947, in Minnesota Lake.

Dorothy was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church and the C.C.W. She enjoyed being with her family, baking, gardening and sewing. She also enjoyed playing cards with her friends, and watching baseball and football games.

She is survived by her husband, Matt; two daughters: Joan and her husband Fred Cole of Easton, and Barb and her husband Loren Prescher of Blue Earth; three sons: John and his wife Lorna Neubauer of Stewartville, Bill and his wife Georgia Neubauer of Easton, and Ken and his wife Cherie Neubauer of Wells; nine grandchildren: Chuck Cole (and fianc Carrie), Ann Cole, John Prescher, Jennifer Prescher, Jason Neubauer, Jill Neubauer (and friend Craig), Matthew Neubauer, David Neubauer and Jacob Neubauer; two sisters: Ann Fischer of Minnesota Lake, and Helen Yokiel of Wells; and one brother, Peter and his wife Jean Sonnek of Wells.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 10 brothers: Dominic, Herbert, Mathew, Eugene, Robert, Frances, Norbert, Albert, Donald and David; three sisters: Mary Sonnek, Magdelene Volz and Martha Bach; and one granddaughter, Lynn.
