Elaine Jeanne Knutson passed away peacefully on Aug. 23, 2003.

She was born March 1, 1924, in Zumbrota, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Sigrid and Sever Berg; sister, Inga McGovern; brother, Orville Berg; and loving husband, Alfred Jarvis Knutson.

She is survived by sister, Hazel Bailey of Zumbrota; sons: Jim Knutson of McHenry, Ill., and Mark Knutson (Terri) of Eden Prairie, Minn.; daughter, Jane Knutson of Scottsdale,Ariz.; and grandchildren: Ken Knutson and John Knutson.

Elaine and Jarvis were married 56 years, raised their family in Albert Lea until 1984, then became residents of Scottsdale, Ariz.

Elaine enjoyed her family and friends, walks at Staring Lake Park, nature, golf and mowing.

The memorial service is 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28,

at 1 p.m. with visitation one hour before the service at the Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapel, 7625 Mitchell Rd. (one block north or Hwy 5), Eden Prairie.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Grace Lutheran Church of Albert Lea and Fairview Home Care and Hospice.
