The memorial service for Joyce Elaine Jukulen of Alden will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at the United Methodist Church in Alden. The Rev. Lynn C. Borgeson will officiate. Friends may visit with the family at the church, one hour before the service .

Joyce died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003, at the Albert Lea Medical Center. She was 68 years old.

Joyce was born in Arena, N.D., on July 26, 1935, the daughter of David and Lillian (Deckert) Buller. She was married to Lloyd Jukulen Aug. 3, 1955 in St. James, Minn. Joyce has lived in Alden the past 40 years. She owned and operated an antique and upholstery store called The Furniture Clinic.

Joyce loved crocheting, quilting and doing needlework whenever she had time.

Joyce is survived by her six children: DaNell Jukulen and husband Marshall Collins of Davenport, Iowa, Robin Schuster and husband Donald of Alden,

Daneth Jukulen and Deb Bluhm of Alden, Tracy Jukulen of Tomah, Wis., Melissa Abben of Bloomingburg, Ohio, and husband Garry Abben of Albert Lea, and Brandon Jukulen of Alden; grandchildren: Noelle, Andrew, Matthew and Emily Collins, Trapper, Trevor and Rikki Schuster, Desiree, Nicole and Marissa Hansen, Tyler Sorenson, and Brooke, Emily and Ethan Abben; parents: David and Lillian Buller of Wing, N.D.; brothers and sisters: Hazel Pehl and husband Neil of Wing, N.D., Marjorie Haugen of Mandan, N.D., Laverne Buller and wife Thelma of Anchorage, Alaska, Jerry Buller and wife Dodie of Thermopolis, Wyo., Leland Buller and wife Debbie of Wing, N.D., and Larry Buller and wife Linda of Bismarck, N.D.; and sisters- and brothers-in-law: Vernita and Dave Sharp of Gaylord, Minn., Arlene and Ray Schiffer of Spring Lake Park, Minn., and Kenneth and Fay Jukulen of St. James, Minn.

Joyce was preceded in death by husband, Lloyd Jukulen.
