Letter to the editor: Thanks, golf club

I would like to say a big thank you to the men’s club of Albert Lea Golf Club. I am a maintenance worker and I am overwhelmed by the generosity of these men.
First, they have given a lot of hours of their time this year to help make Albert Lea Golf a nice place to relax and work. The second thing is, they volunteer equipment: trucks, tractors, saws, paint and the list goes on. The third thing is, for some, the hardest, and for others, easier, is the monetary value that it takes to get the jobs done. I have greatly appreciated the encouragement they give on a daily basis; the donuts and rolls, the comments of, &uot; The course looks good&uot;, &uot;Great job guys&uot;, giving thumbs up signs and having an interest in what we are doing. Thanks men!
I would also like to say thanks to the club for the steak dinner, which was good, and the amusing confusion of the awards that were given.
I have enjoyed working at the club this year; working for and with Don Grover, the green’s superintendent, and that great guy, Andy Newman, the golf pro. He is a great encourager, and is full of ideas for enjoyment.
Thanks Albert Lea Golf Club!
