Native of Albert Lea offers greetings from Iraq

Happy Holidays from cold and muddy Tallil, Iraq. I am deployed here with the Air Force’s 332 AEW (Air Expeditionary Wing).
I am the Postmaster at our little Air Post Office.
Although we are not enjoying the frigid temps and mounds of snow that I left in Albert Lea almost 16 years ago, we are doing our best to avoid the mud and keep dry.
I myself never imagined that one day I’d be in this country, but I just finished my fifth week of a 120-day rotation and wonder where the time has gone.
I wanted to inform my fellow Albert Lea’ns the U.S. Air Force is alive and well, and we are all proud to serve all of you back home.
