Funeral services for Milton D. Syse, age 82, of Emmons will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. Mike Ellis will officiate. Interment will be in St. James Catholic Cemetery, Twin Lakes. Visitation is one hour prior to the services at Bayview.

Milton died Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at the Lake Mills Care Center.

Milton Duwayne Syse was born March 17, 1921, to Oscar and Carrie (Bell) Syse in Forest City, Iowa. He attended schools in Forest City, graduating from Forest City High School in 1939. On May 15, 1971, Milton was united in marriage to Joan McGuire at St. James Catholic Church in Twin Lakes. He had been a farmer and worked at Winnebago Industries.

Milton was then employed at Fleetguard in Lake Mills before retiring.

Survivors include his wife, Joan of Emmons; sister, Alice Syse of Forest City; and nieces and nephews.

Milton was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Arne Syse; and his sister, Gertrude.
