Paul Myron Lee was born on May 9, 1912, in Owatonna, the son of Carl and Sophia (Christianson) Lee. He was confirmed in 1926 at the Owatonna Lutheran Church.

He attended schools in Owatonna and was a long standing member of the National Guard. In 1937 Paul was united in marriage to Henrietta Langlie at the First Lutheran Church in Ellendale. They resided in Owatonna until the early forties when Paul accepted a position with the Post Engineers in Alaska.

This was home for over thirty years.

During World War II, he served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater as a Tech 4 Sergeant.

He received a World War II Victory Medal.

Since his tour of duty was mainly in Seward, at Ft. Raymond, he helped organize and start the first Lutheran Church. He was one of 23 charter members.

Survivors include his wife, Henrietta; niece, Delores Lee and her family, brothers-in-law: Eugene and wife Stella Langlie, and Athan and wife Helen Langlie, both of Ellendale; and numerous friends in Alaska and in the States.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; son, Curtis Paul; brothers: Jess and Floyd; and one infant sister.

Paul lived beyond the age of 86 years, so he was not able to donate any of his organs, as he had wished.
