Mark Chunky Bradley Langfald, 49, Lake Mills, Iowa

Mark &uot;Chunky&uot; Bradley Langfald, age 49, of Lake Mills, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2004, at his home in rural Lake Mills the result of a massive heart attack.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, at Bethel Lutheran Church at Vinje, Iowa, with Mr. Chris Fiske, interim pastor, officiating. Burial will take place at the Bethel Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today, June 28, at the Mittelstadt Funeral Home, 902 East Main Street in Lake Mills, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.

Mark was born on June 23, 1955, to Cleo and Gloria (Johnson) Langfald at Naeve Hospital in Albert Lea. Mark was baptized and confirmed at Bethel Lutheran Church, Vinje, Iowa.

He attended and graduated from Lake Mills High School in 1973.

On Sept. 28, 1974, Mark was united in marriage with Diane (Haukoos) Walls at Bethel Lutheran Church. The couple made their home on their current acreage north of Lake Mills.

Mark had been employed at Winnebago Industries in Forest City, Iowa, and later worked for Farmstead in Albert Lea. From there, Mark attended Riverland Community College and received his degree as an electrician. He was currently employed as an electrician at Fleetguard in Lake Mills.

Mark was a patient and understanding man. He had a good sense of humor and was liked by everyone who knew him. Mark truly enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren. He was also a motorcycle enthusiast and loved going to the races. The past three years he spent many weekends racing his &uot;Thunder Truck #3&uot; at Algona, Iowa. Mark had always been known for his long ponytail, which will be donated to the Locks of Love organization.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Diane of Lake Mills; parents: Cleo and Gloria Langfald of Scarville, Iowa; mother-in-law, Margaret Haukoos of Walters; two daughters: Lonna Tweeten and her husband Dick of Forest City, Iowa, and Lanette Maser and her husband Curt of Lake Mills; two sons: Jack Langfald and his wife Mandy of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Jeffrey Langfald and Desiree Beery of Lake Mills; eight grandchildren: April McCormick, Trevor and Emma Maser, Matthew Tweeten, Cory and Amanda Maser, and Jacob and Jessica Tweeten; four brothers: Guy Langfald and his wife Mary of Scarville, Doug Langfald and Cindy Henn of Buffalo Center, Iowa, Mike Hatland of Sigorney, Iowa, and Monte Langfald of Scarville; four sisters: Deb Rothmeyer and her husband Vince of Denison, Iowa, Tammy Herfendal and her husband Dale of Lake Mills, Tina Stubbs and her husband Kirk of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Molly Gjerstad of Scarville; a brother-in-law, Duane Haukoos of Phoenix, Ariz.; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, as well as three uncles and one aunt.
