Eric P. Sorenson, age 45, of Plymouth, formerly of Albert Lea, died July 21, 2004 after a lengthy illness at Fairview University Medical Center, Minneapolis. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Parish Center, 36th and Boone Ave. N., New Hope. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, New Hope. Visitation will be Sunday 4 to 7 p.m. with prayer service at 6:30 p.m. at Gearty Delmore Plymouth Chapel., 37th Ave. N. and Vicksburg Lane and at the parish center one hour before mass on Monday.
Eric was born July 16, 1959 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was raised in Albert Lea and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1977. He married Kathryn Albright of Glencoe, on September 7, 1985 in Edina. They lived in Golden Valley and later in Plymouth. He was a computer analyst for Wilson Learning.
Survivors include his wife Kate and daughters Lauren and Paige, all of Plymouth; father Dale Sorenson of Albert Lea, sisters; Sandra (John) Bertzyk of Ramsey, Pam (David) Marable of Levittown, Pa., and Martha Beighley of Albert Lea, mother in law LaVonne Albright of Glencoe, brothers-in-law; Gary (Janet) Albright of Victoria and John Albright III of Eden Prairie, sisters-in-law; Jackie Albright (Brad Emeh) of Lino Lakes, Carolyn Albright-Mahon (Moe Mahon) of Waconia, and many nieces, nephews and special friends. He was preceded in death by mother Joann Sorenson, father-in-law John Albright and nephew Chris Marable.
