John David (Dave) Larsen, age 61, of Clearwater, Fla., died Saturday, July 17, 2004, at Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater.

He was preceded in death by his parents: John W Larsen and Helen E. Larsen (Engen) of Albert Lea.

He was born in Albert Lea, lived in Minneapolis, and moved to Clearwater, Fla., in 1972. He was a retired subcontract administrator for Smiths Industries. He was a scout leader and a council leader for the Boy Scouts of America and a Little League baseball coach and Clearwater for Youth football coach. He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Largo, Fla..

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Mary Ann Larsen (Lindeman); two sons: Jeffrey of Clearwater, Fla., and Paul of Tallahassee, Fla.; and four grandchildren: Justin and Haley Larsen, both of Clearwater, Fla., and Jane and Georgia Larsen, both of Tallahassee, Fla.

Funeral services planned at Hillcrest Cemetery at 3 p.m. on Saturday July 24. The Rev. Jay M. Dahlvang will lead the service.
