Burial will be at St. Theodore’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services at the church.

Betty passed on to be with Our Savior, Jesus, in the early hours of Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. Prior to entering the hospital one week ago, she resided at Knutson Place for the past seven years.

Elizabeth M. Siemer was born on Dec. 10, 1916, in Le Mars, Iowa. On Jan. 11, 1938, she married Alvin Siemer in Marshall, Iowa. They celebrated their love for 58 years before Alvin was called to his eternal home in 1997. Betty was a homemaker all of her life with the exception of nine years when she worked for her daughter at Mrs. Gerry’s. In 1997 she moved to Knutson Place. She loved Knutson Place and all of the people there. You would need an appointment to see her, she was always out visiting with her many friends, or we would find her in a card game. She loved playing 500.
