Funeral services for Joshua James Medd, age 24, of Albert Lea, will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 17, at Grace Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. Rev. Todd Walsh will officiate. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services at the Church on Friday. Joshua died Monday, Sept. 13, 2004, at his home.
Joshua James Medd was born on Feb. 22, 1980, at the Naeve Hospital in Albert Lea to Daniel Medd and Julie Pearson. As a young child and adult, he enjoyed many hours of hunting and fishing, many of these done with his special friends, Tippy and Zoey. Joshua graduated from LaCrescent High School in 1998 and attended Vo-Tec.
On December 5, 2001, he was united in marriage to Heather Tallman in Albert Lea. Joshua was a CNC machinist at Lou-Rich.
Survivors include his wife, Heather; daughter, McKenzie Lynn; mother, Julie Pearson; father, Dan Medd and his wife Lisa; sisters: Jackie Medd and friend Nick Stephan, Danielle and Damian Brue and Desmond, Raliegh, and Lanie; brother, Josh Krowiorz and friend Sara; grandparents: Larry and Shirley Pearson and Becky Medd; special aunts and uncles: Tim and Lori Pearson, Dave and Kathy Medd, and Don and Karen Austinson; along with several cousins.
Joshua was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Medd; and brother and sister, Wyatt and Katie.
