Adelia ‘Dee’ Harrison, 87, Albert Lea

A private graveside service for Adelia &uot;Dee&uot; Harrison, of Albert Lea, will be held. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials to the donors’ choice is preferred.

Dee died on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, at the Good Samaritan Center. She was 87 years old.

Dee was born in Timber Lake, S.D., on Sept. 15, 1917, the daughter of Maynard and Anna Lunning. She attended country school in rural Clarks Grove. Dee lived in the Albert Lea area all of her life. She was married to Rollin Harrison on July 3,1962. She was a member of First Lutheran Church.

Dee had been the owner of the Avalon Cafe in Albert Lea, first hostess at the new Holiday Inn and Townhouse Supper Club before retiring. She had bowled for over 50 years and was a member of the Albert Lea Women’s Bowling Association, the Women’s International Bowling Congress, and the 30-30 League. They were league champions 1993-94 and took first place in the city tournament in 1979-80.

Dee is survived by her husband, Rollin of Albert Lea; step daughter, Peggy Harrison of Waseca; brother, Kenneth Lunning and family of Oskosh, Wis.; sister, Marian Traverso and family; and special friend, Carrol Claude of El Sobrante, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

Dee was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mildred and Arlene; and brothers, Mervin, Clayton, Luverne, Raymond, Norman and Donald.
