Keith James Larson, 62, Waseca

Keith James Larson, age 62, of Waseca, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Minneapolis.

Born in Albert Lea on July 9, 1942, he was the son of James and Esther (Weisensel) Larson. He graduated from Albert Lea High School and then entered the U.S. Army serving from 1961 until his discharge in 1964. He married Darlene Brase on Aug. 20, 1966, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca. He worked at Herter’s Inc. in Waseca from 1965 to 1972. He then worked at Waseca Mutual, which later became Austin Mutual, for 23 years as maintenance supervisor. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and an active member of American Legion Post 228 in Waseca having held many offices.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene of Waseca; two children: Kimberly and Curtis Nikoley, and Donald Larson, all of Waseca; three grandchildren, Jacob, Keaton, and Camren Nikoley; father, James Larson of Albert Lea; one brother, Lawrence and Pat Larson; and one sister, Kathy and Steve Frederick, all of Waseca.

He was preceded in death by his mother, and one brother, Steve Larson.

Visitation will be held at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca today, Dec. 14, from 4 to 8 p.m., and continue on Wednesday one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 15, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca with Rev. Terry Quick officiating.

Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.

Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
