Evelyn C. Mock, 89, Hartland

Memorial services for Evelyn C. Mock of Hartland will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, at the Cross of Glory Lutheran Church in Hartland. The Rev. Dennis Frank will officiate. Friends may gather with the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Hartland Cemetery. Bonnerup Funeral Service is assisting the family.
Mrs. Mock died Tuesday, Jan 25, 2005, at the Bethesda Medical Center in St Paul. She was 89 years of age.
Evelyn was born Oct. 22, 1915, in Hartland Township, the daughter of Carl M. and Emma O. (Hanson) Johnson. She attended School District #98, and Freeborn High School. Evelyn was united in marriage to Ivan Recknor, who passed away in 1957. She was later married to Clarence Mock, who passed away in 1989.
Evelyn was a member of the Cross of Glory Lutheran Church and was active in the ladies’ aid. She also owned and operated a restaurant in Hartland for many years.
Evelyn was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing and travel and spending time at the lake. She was a good cook and loved to bake for family and friends.
Evelyn is survived by her children; Jackie and her husband Gene Graveman of Casper, Wyo., Michael and his wife Beverly Recknor of Wells; grandchildren; Mark (Patti) Sorenson, Kim Weinrich, Mitch Recknor, Renee (Larry) Sass and Jeff (Shelly) Recknor; 14 great- grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elloyce, and her husband Ken Queensland of Blue Earth.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Ivan and Clarence; son Eugene Recknor; and three brothers, George, Carl Dean, and Irwin Johnson.
