Charlene Perleberg, 72, Myrtle

Funeral services for Charlene Perleberg, of Myrtle, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. The
Rev. Jeff Wallager will officiate. Interment will be in Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services at the church.
Charlene died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, at St. John’s Lutheran Home.
She was born Oct. 21, 1928, to Adolph H. and Ida M. (Sandman) Clasen in Chicago, Ill. She graduated from Kelly High School in Chicago and attended the Burroughs School of Business Machines. On Jan. 7, 1950, she married Willard F. &uot;Jack&uot; Perleberg at the Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chicago. She was employed in quality assurance for Hudson Foods. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the church circles. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, snowmobiling, traveling, and working on photo albums.
Survivors include her husband, Willard &uot;Jack&uot; of Glenville; children: Larry and his wife Okki Perleberg of Rochester, Diane and her husband Kenneth Lawson of Myrtle, Wayne Perleberg and his fiancee Cynthia Pappas of Albert Lea, Pauline Perleberg of Albert Lea, William and his wife Barbara Perleberg of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Renee and her husband Rick Horn of Glenville; grandchildren: Jeremy Perleberg, Christine Lawson, Valerie Foss, Aaron Perleberg, Andrea Perleberg, Emily Perleberg, Sara Perleberg, Jacob Montgomery, and Jenna Montgomery; and great-grandchildren: Brooke Lawson, Savannah Shipper, and Austin Foss.
Charlene was preceded in death by her parents.
She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and all those who knew her.
