Helen T. Wayne, 76, Geneva

Funeral services for Helen T. Wayne, age 76, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005, at the Community Lutheran Church of Geneva. The Rev. Joel Xavier will officiate.

Interment will be in the Geneva Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 -8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2005, at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday.

Helen died on Friday, Feb. 18, 2005, at the Albert Lea Medical Center.

Helen T. Wayne was born on Nov. 18, 1928, in Albert Lea, the daughter of Nellie and Arthur Clementson. She worked as a bookkeeper at Midway Motors in Albert Lea.

On Feb. 4, 1951, Helen was united in marriage to Lyle Wayne in Hartland. The couple farmed in rural Ellendale until 1994. In 1978, they moved to Thompson Oaks in Ellendale.

Helen was a charter member of the Altar Guild at Geneva and was a leader of 4-H and Boy

Scouts. She enjoyed many travels with her husband and also enjoyed attending her sons’ and grandchildrens’ activities.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Lyle; her sons, Greg and his wife, Holly, Brian and his wife, Jodi, David and his wife, Linda and Tom and his wife, Kari Wayne, all of rural Ellendale; grandchildren, Nick, Nate, Ashley, Brandon, Missie, Heather, Dustin, Alex, Lexi, Jet and Tali Wayne; great-granddaughter, Eva Wayne; sisters, Irene and her husband, Aldean Brown, of Albert Lea; twin sister, Stella and her husband, Eugene Langlie, of Ellendale and several nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents.

Helen’s family would like to thank the caring doctors and nurses at the Albert Lea Medical Center who took care of her and her family.
