Margaret Marie Cortinas, 69, of Faribault

Margaret M. (Mrs. Manuel) Cortinas, age 69, of Faribault, formerly of Albert Lea, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005 at her home.
There will be a gathering for relatives and friends at George’s of
Geneva on Sunday, Feb. 27, from 1 to 4 p.m.
Margaret Marie, the daughter of George and Etta (Nelson) Stieglbauer, was born Oct. 28, 1935, at Hope in Steele County. On March 7, 1966, she married Manuel Cortinas in Mason City, Iowa.
Margaret graduated from Ellendale High School in 1954. She worked for Land O’Lakes, Wilson Foods, Farmstead Foods and Hormel foods. She enjoyed antiques, reading, bird watching, flower gardening and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Manuel of Faribault; a daughter, Michelle Cortinas and her husband, Dan Flo of Albert Lea; a grandson, Patrick Flo; her mother, Etta Hjelman of Geneva; three brothers: Louis (and Barb) Stieglbauer of Dale City, Va., George (and Sue) Stieglbauer of Geneva, and LaVern (and Linda) Stieglbauer of Geneva; four sisters: Loretta Anderson of Albert Lea, Shirley Diaz of Mankato, Jeanette (and Terry) Ringeon of Albert Lea, and Julia (and Kenneth) Farr of Ellendale; a sister-in-law, Gen Morales of Owatonna; many nieces and nephews; and her dogs, Sandy and Pepper.
She was preceded in death by her father; two sisters in infancy: Delores and Margaret’s twin, Donna; her mother-in-law, Helen Cortinas; her stepfather, Oscar Hjelman; brothers-in-law: Allan Anderson and Jesse Diaz; and three nephews, Hector Morales, Steven Stieglbauer and George Stieglbauer Jr.
Arrangements are being completed by the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault.
