The funeral service for Henry Larry Brown will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at Bonnerup Funeral Chapel in Albert Lea. The Rev. Kent Otterman will officiate. Burial will be in New Lisbon Cemetery, Union City, Ind. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Bonnerup Funeral Service. and one hour before the service at the chapel.
Larry died on Monday, Feb.28, 2005, at his home in Glenville. He was 55 years old.
Larry was born in Union City, Ind., on Sept. 16, 1949, the son of Henry Leroy and Ona Mae (Warner) Brown. He was a graduate of Union City High School and attended Ft. Wayne Business College.
On June 12, 1982, Larry was united in marriage with Linda Kalvig Estle in Union City. Larry had worked for Sheller Globe in Union City for 19 years. In 1990 Larry and Linda moved to Albert Lea where Larry worked for Electro Plating for six years and Alamco, Inc. for seven years. Since 1996 they have made their home in Glenville.
Larry enjoyed working crossword puzzles, trivia pursuit, collecting Garfield items, old clocks and trains. He also was an avid Cincinnati Reds baseball fan.
Larry is survived by his wife, Linda of Glenville; mother, Ona Mae of Winchester, Ind.; two step children: Chad (Jana) Estle and their five children, Lacey, Kobe, Chayton, Stormie and Blade, of Toledo, Ohio, and Tina Estle and her fiance Randy Thrond and his children, Ashley and Lauren, of Kiester; four sisters: Janice (Mike) Franks of Evansville, Tenn., Carroll (Joe) Bertke of New Weston, Ohio, Nancy Brown of Union City, Ind., and Debbie Brown of Union City, Ohio.; mother- and father-in-law: Art and Cathy Kalvig of Northwood, Iowa; brothers-in-law: Harold (Kate) Kalvig of Albert Lea, and Bill Kalvig of Evergreen, Colo.; and nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Henry Leroy Brown.
