Funeral services for Ricky (Rick) D. Johnson, of Albert Lea, will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, at Grace Christian Church of Albert Lea. The Rev. George Marin will officiate. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bonnerup Funeral Service, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Rick died Saturday, March 5, 2005 at the Albert Lea Medical Center. He was 46 years of age.

Rick was born March 20, 1958, in Albert Lea the son of Duane L. and Virginia (Svendsen)

Johnson. He was a graduate of Alden-Conger High School in 1976.

Rick was employed with his father in D.L. Masonry for many years. He loved working on and riding his motorcycle with his son Wade, leatherwork, strength training, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his parents: Duane L. and Virginia Johnson of Albert Lea; children: Wade and Crystal Flattum of Albert Lea; brother, Marty and his wife Peggy Johnson of Alden; sister, Reedie and her husband Bruce Nelson of Scarville, Iowa; brother, Danny and his wife Lisa Johnson of Albert Lea;

nieces and nephews: Robert and Sarah Johnson, Heather Nelson, and Nicholas and Christina Johnson; and special friend; DeDe Deboer of Albert Lea. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Rick was preceded in death by his grandparents: Anna and Wilford Johnson, and Lorentz and Violet Svendsen.
