Milton Rosenberg, 90, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Milton G. Rosenberg, of Albert Lea, will be held 1 p.m. Monday, April 4,
at Grace Lutheran Church. The Rev. John Henriksen will officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Bonnerup Funeral Service, and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. There will be no visitation at the Church. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the Albert Lea area Veterans’ Groups.
Mr. Rosenberg died Wednesday morning, March 30. 2005,
at his home in Albert Lea. He was 90 years of age.
Milt was born March 7, 1915, in Myrtle, the son of Lars C. and Elisa (Westland) Rosenberg. He was a graduate of Albert Lea High School. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Aspenson on
Sept. 1, 1940, in Albert Lea.
Milt was a charter member of Grace Lutheran Church, was active on the Foundation Board, Building Committee and the Grace Lutheran Softball Team.
Milt was employed out of high school at the Plymouth Shoe Store and then for many years as the bulk agent for Standard Oil Co. For over 50 years, Milt was active as a realtor in Freeborn County creating many subdivisions
Milt served his country in the U.S. Navy and was active in the VFW, American Legion, Sons of Norway, Shrine Club and Masons. He was also in the Freeborn County Softball Hall Of Fame.
He enjoyed playing pool and was a tournament player. He also loved driving the clown cars for the Shrine Club.
Milt is survived by his children: Darryl Rosenberg of Bonita Springs, Fla., Thomas and his wife Mary of Northfield, and John and his wife Nancy of Alexandria, Va.; and grandchildren: Eric Rosenberg, Kara Rosenberg, Lisa (Mike) Prow, Kirby Rosenberg, Patrick Rowan and Philip Rowan. Also surviving are seven great-grandchildren; one sister; Vivian Sumerwell of Vero Beach, Fla.; brothers- and sisters-in-law: Paul (Dolly) Levisen of Albert Lea, Harold (Bonnie) Aspenson of Oklahoma City, Okla., Lilian Aspenson of Stillwater,
June Aspenson of Minneapolis,
and Gordon (Betty) Aspenson of Chisago City, Minn.; and nieces and nephews.
Milt was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy, in November of 2004; one infant son; sister, Lila Miller; stepmother, Millie (Gulbrandson) Rosenberg; and brothers-in-law: Robert Aspenson, Richard Aspenson and Robert Sumerwell.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers to the Grace Lutheran Church Foundation or the Crossroads Community Hospice.
